Have you still got these Martin?
We need to make them more available so that the clubs profile can be raised in other places.

Yes I still have the banners and poles. The banners are now getting pass their best as they are over 12/14 years old, every time we use them poor old Jon has to take them home to repair them. The other problem is if they are over Rougham, every time we undertake a external event means me travelling over 75 miles to pick them up, that's why I keep them at my home.

I think the best way forward is for the club to buy say 2 new banners with poles which can then be used for other do's on the beach, Sunday market etc.
As I said before the best place to go is "KITESUP" who not only make great banners but also supplied us with the latest super poles which are also worth the extra cost.

Or there might be somebody in the club who can make/supply these ?

Martin is it just the material used for the pole insert that's warn? Could we re-use the feather somehow with a new "backbone"...or has the sun destroyed the whole thing?

If we can get the material I could have a go at one of them - on the understanding there is nothing to lose if my sewing is not up to standard ;-)

Tim, it's the whole banner that the sun over the years has degraded/delaminated the material - not good.

They are still usable however but with great care and not in very windy conditions etc.

That's what I'd expected :(

Coming soon - Design a banner competition ;)

PS there are other options for feather materials these days and printing processes which may be worth a look at.

Was this the guys you were thinking of Martin?
http://www.bannerandflag.co.uk/
looks like they use a printing process.

May be worth trying to catch up with Ady too, to see what he could offer.
