As the title says.... The second sunday of each month is Club sunday.

This means that on the second sunday of each month we make an effort to meet as a club. We will have the club double burner as well so that we can cook some sausages or boil kettle. All club members welcome, or come and meet us, if you like it - join on the day.

Can we make sure my tandem kit shows up too - it may be handy. I'll try to bring along my old Peter Thin Bug so we have at least one spare for tandems.

PS I'll 2nd that Mick. It adds a bit of focus without restricting flying days, nice idea :)

That was exactly the idea Tim, when I first joined it was only 1 sunday a month and then it increased which I think has diluted the club a bit, we didn't want to restrict flying back down to 1 sunday a month but thought it would be a good idea to try and all get together up rougham and have a fly once a month. Any public looking to come up can be told to come up on the first sunday of the month and it is more likely that someone will be up there.

Think 'club sundays' is a great idea. Give us a focus to come 1st sunday of every month, regardless of the weather, as we know there will be others to chat to and have a cuppa with if the wind isn't to good!

We will bring along our tandem kit when we come.

Hi
As a new boy (well 44yr old boy lol) I'm thinking this is a great idea, I have been reading the forum for a while and wanting to head up from Cambridge to join but never seemed to settle on which Sunday to head up (my own fault, I know). Now, given that there will hopefully be some friendly faces I am definitely heading up on the 2nd of October (application form and a crisp twenty in hand), couple of questions tho, whats a good time to pitch up, where do i enter the airfiled as ive never been before and who should i ask for or do i just look for some kites? also once i have joined apart from the first sunday of the month can i still fly other sundays or some weekdays if i have a bit of time off work?

cheers and see you on the 2nd.

Jamie
