Winter Arrangements for Rougham Tower Toilets

Please be advsied that as of now, 18 November 2010, the Ladies Toilet at the Tower will be closed for the winter. The Gents will become a Unisex loo and remain operational, but the water will be turned off as a matter of course.  When the loo needs to be used, the stop cock will need to be opened to allow the plumbing to work. After use, please turn off the Stop Cock.  If the water is left on the pipes freeze and within a short amount of time I get a call from an irrate RTA member, not good! There is normally someone around the Tower who can help if there is issue.

One Sky One World 2010

Thanks to everybody who turned out for our Annual OSOW on Saturday 9th October 2010.
We certainly picked a great day to stage this world event not only mild but sunny and a faily good wind.

This year's result is :-

Starting to Power Kite

A couple of sites that will show you the basics of Power Kite control and basic buggy theory, worth a read before heading to the field:

Coastal Winds
Kite Power

Both are a bit old, but give the basics, there are plenty of others out there, just do a search.

When you get to the field if you want a hand just ask someone - most don't bite ;-)

Dual Line freestyle....

The temptation for me to flood this site with dual line stuff is strong, but I will refrain as it probably only interesting to a few of us...

Anyway, I thought I'd put up a couple of tutorials for basic tricks, the first one is the Half Axel... an 'entry level' trick that forms the basis of some other stuff....

SportKiteDesign Seven

The Seven is a rocking freestyle kite, built by Jorgen a one man company called SportKitedesign based in Sweden.

This is a review I wrote a couple of months ago....

Sportkitedesign Seven - One year on.....

I’ve been flying Sevens pretty much exclusively now for about a year, so I thought I would add a bit to this thread with my opinions of the kite.

Since it first came onto the market the Seven has been through a number of changes, the most notable being the addition of roll bars and new framing in the form of P2X for the Std and P1X for the UL.
